rooted in the central valley
Blaker Brewing is a family owned and operated craft brewery nestled in the heart of California’s Central Valley. Home to a 15 bbl brewhouse, two taprooms and event venues, we’ve created a community that cares about good beer, good people and even better times. If you venture off the beaten path you’ll find our brewery and home taproom in Ceres and our second taproom resides on Castle Air Base in Atwater, just 30 miles south of our original location.
farming is our backbone
Since 1938 the Lucas family has been plowing the fields along Blaker and Fulkerth Road 6 miles west of Turlock, California. Founded by Tom Lucas and Mike Lucas in 2015, Blaker Brewing’s roots sprouted in the farming community and transitioned over to home-brewing. Blaker Brewing began as a concept in the refurbished milking parlor and over the next two years, we continued to improve recipes and pour at local non-profit events. Realizing the farm could be used to grow resources for the brewery, our passion and curiosity expanded beyond a hobby and into a full-blown business venture. We wanted to further explore this new world that co-existed between farming and brewing so a small test plot was converted into an ¼ acre hopyard, sustainably growing four varieties of hops which has now transitioned into stone fruit trees. We are currently on a mission to bridge the gap between the family farm and brewery, and utilize as many brewing ingredients from neighboring farmers and farmers across the globe.
